Chuo University takes an active part in a wide range of programs encouraging the exchange students and researchers with education and research institutions in other countries. It presently has partnership agreements with 91 institutions. The International Center, established in 1981 to promote international exchange, supports and funds international exchange activities carried out by faculties, graduate schools, and research institutes.Study Abroad Program for Exchange Partners Under partnership agreements with overseas institutions, the University also accepts non-degree exchange students. Students are able to choose one semester or one academic year. As of September 2009, 48 exchange students are studying at Chuo University. Details and applications are click here. Chuo Summer Program for International Students From June to July, we offer one-month program to introduce Japanese society and Culture. This program consists of Japanese language program, lectures on Japanese society,Hiroshima Peace Seminar, and Japanese cultural and sports activities such as tea ceremony, flower arrangement and karate. College Doctorial Franco-Japonais"College Doctoral Franco-Japonais" "College Doctorial Franco-Japonais"is the student exchange program for doctoral students between the Japanese consortium and French consortium. Chuo University is one of the Japanese Member Institutions.ions. Details Events for International Students International Center offers a variety of programs for international students to encourage intercultural awareness and to provide opportunities for meeting people and encountering Japanese society. Every year, International Center organizes a short trip known as a “Peace Seminar,” a four-day trip to Nagasaki/Okinawa to learn about peace through hands-on experiences. About 20 students, both Japanese and international, join the seminar and deepen their understanding about peace through cite visits and discussion. This provides an excellent opportunity to interact with Japanese students as well as with local communities through home-stays with Japanese families. Also, International Center organizes social gatherings, including welcoming and farewell parties, and supports sports festivals for international students in collaboration with the Chuo University International Students Association. |
